My fiancé, Bryce, and I met at a destination wedding in Charleston, SC in May of 2009. Bryce is from & lives in Indiana & I am from & live here in Georgia. We danced all night at that wedding & he eventually asked me to marry him right on the dance floor. We have joked about it since. After the wedding, I came back to Georgia & he went back to Indiana. We became facebook friends & eventually, after a year of messaging, he called. He asked if I wanted to be his date to a wedding for another friend there in Indiana & offered to fly me up if I would say yes. I agreed & we made plans. Closer to time we decided that he should fly down to Atlanta so that we could go on a real date & get to know each other before the upcoming wedding festivities. He flew down in October, 2010 & we hit it off immediately. Our “dates” have now consisted of weekends together every two weeks since our first initial weekend. We have lived our entire relationship in airports flying to & from each other. It has been so exciting: a whirlwind of jet setting, romance, & fights!

This past December Bryce flew in to celebrate New Years with me in GA. I went to the airport to pick him up, so excited to see his face & waiting anxiously for him to get through the terminal. He finally came up the escalator & met me in front of baggage claim at our usual spot & we hugged & kissed, so happy to see each other again! With a huge smile he said, “let me put my bag down so I can give you a BIG hug” and as he put his bag down he pulled a ring out of his pocket, got down on one knee right in the middle of the airport, & with his huge smile asked, “Rosemary, will you marry me?”. I couldn’t speak. He says he actually had to ask me twice before I could say anything. I then, of course, squealed “yes!” and he put the ring on my finger, got up and we hugged & kissed and everyone around us clapped.  Our entire relationship has been in an airport so how perfect that our engagement was there too!

‘Tis the Season…for Bridesmaids!

Bridesmaids, Bridesmaids, Bridesmaids!  Your wedding is just around the corner and most of your bridesmaids haven’t order their dresses yet. Scream, right? You get excuse after excuse and now it’s Christmas time. Christmas is a happy time of year that’s full of food, laughs, and gingerbread cookies. Bridesmaids are visiting from out of town or  home from college for a few weeks. Even though your girls may be going broke from buying gifts for everyone, you can get them to order their dress with a little tough love. First, have a girl’s day, where everyone can go together to get measured and pay. Then afterward you can go for a fun lunch together or group maini/pedis. Second, if it’s money and you are able, offer to pay half or all of the deposit for your girls.  Or even just float them a loan from your wedding fund until the holidays are behind ya (use this fall back sparingly!).  Third, tell your bridesmaid that ordering at the last minute could result in a added rush charge for everyone. It might take some tough love, keep your cool and keep up with the reminders (what did we ever do before we could hide behind texting! OMG!)They’ll order their beautiful bridesmaid dress you picked in a timely manner. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

one of the many beautiful gowns headed for wedding angels this weekend!

Its the most wonderful time of the year!! The Jasmine Couture and Collection trunk show. Life does not get much better than when the new spring dresses come to town. Jasmine is known for beautiful laces and unique fits, within attainable price ranges.

One of the best things about a trunk show is all the excitement that comes along with it. You have to remember that this is the first time that we are seeing these dresses as well. Its like Christmas for us! We get to watch beautiful girls try on the newest styles and see what works on each body type. We even pick our new samples by seeing what our customers love.

During a trunk show we are graced with brand new samples that have just come off the runway. They are here for the weekend for our customers to preview. These dresses are just samples and then you order your own. You do not want to miss this opportunity to see whats new and whats hot !! Oh, did I mention discounts?

We’re so excited about having the Eugenia Couture trunk show this weekend! If you don’t know anything about this designer here’s the deal. Eugenia Couture is actually a mother daughter team who create absolutely stunning gowns. Their made-in-the-USA-gowns are unique, use gorgeous fabrics, and have amazing details. Eugenia is the mom and she started her career in her native Greece. Once she moved to the states she worked creating custom gowns for clients until deciding to start her own bridal line. Her daughter Barbara has been designing and working with her mom for the last ten years. Barbara is actually classically trained in painting so her designs include hand-painted gowns and fine art techniques. How cool is that?!? So obviously when you buy a Eugenia Couture wedding dress you’re buying a very special gown! Another cool thing about Barbara is she just recently got married so she was a bride like you. She designed her own wedding gown and it is AH-MAZING! She included it as a part of the latest collection so make sure to ask us which dress was her wedding gown! The Eugenia Couture trunk show will be in our store from Friday until Monday so don’t miss coming to check it out!  But please be sure to make an appointment so you’re not bummed if we’re booked.  We work one on one with all of our brides, so it’s worth the extra step to let us know your coming.  770-645-0404 or info@weddingangels.com

Gowns for military brides

One of last year's military brides

Imagine the stress of planning a wedding. Now imagine possibly having to do it alone, all the while, praying your loved one serving overseas will be returned to you safely. Military brides do this every day and they are truly a portrait of courage. This is one of the many reasons Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique proudly participates in the “Brides Across America” Wedding Gown Giveaway Event. We were honored to be chosen as the first salon in Georgia to represent this inspirational organization and once again look forward to hosting this memorable event!
On November 14th and 15th, Wedding Angels will team up with various local vendors to make wedding dreams come true for some very deserving brides! Countless bridal gowns, accessories and wedding related donations will be given away to military brides who qualify. Each July and November, our staff truly looks forward to hosting this event, especially meeting the brides and hearing their stories. From the beautiful donated dresses to the volunteers who come out to support us, we love every minute! We’re not sure how it’s possible but each giveaway becomes even more special than the last and there is never a shortage of heartfelt thanks, gratitude and tears.
We’re proud to play a small role in supporting the brave men and women serving our country and the families that love them.

Angels Are Now Officially Among Us!

Welcome to our world!  We meet so many amazing brides and families each day, we thought it was long past time to start sharing some of the crazy, hilarious, touching, and sit-com-worthy stuff that happens in the world of Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique!  We’re super busy being “Angels” to our brides, so we honestly probably won’t blog much, but we thought we’d give it a shot.  If ya’ll like it let us know and we’ll keep it up!  Happy wedding season!!!!!
